Trump Brokers Full Ceasefire Between Azerbaijan and Armenia

U.S. President Donald Trump has successfully mediated a peace deal between Azerbaijan and Armenia, leading to a complete cessation of hostilities. Leaders from both nations signed the agreement, marking an end to ongoing clashes.

At a joint press conference at the White House with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister, President Trump announced that the two countries would now prioritize economic cooperation over conflict. He confirmed that bilateral agreements had been reached in key areas including energy, trade, and technology.

Emphasizing his focus on diplomacy, Trump stated that his goal was “peace and trade, not war,” and revealed that negotiations with Russia were in their final stages. He added that the conflict had been causing heavy casualties, with an estimated 7,000 soldiers killed each week. Trump also mentioned an upcoming meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska on August 15.

In a symbolic gesture, both the Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders called for President Trump to be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of his role in securing the ceasefire.
