Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Ikramullah Kakar, an exceptional student from a remote area of Balochistan, who is studying at Lawrence College on a scholarship provided by the Prime Minister. Ikramullah recently secured third position in the Rawalpindi Board’s matriculation examinations, earning him an invitation to meet the premier.
Speaking to the Prime Minister, Ikramullah said, “This is all by the grace of Allah. He makes people a means to help others, and Allah granted me the opportunity through you.” When asked about his future plans, the student shared that he aspires to join the civil service (CSS) and is working hard in his intermediate studies to secure a scholarship abroad, as he has long dreamed of studying at Oxford University. “Insha’Allah, I will make my country and nation proud,” he added.
Ikramullah also expressed his admiration for the Prime Minister, saying, “I will try to follow in your footsteps because you are working tirelessly for the country and the nation. All of us students wish to have a leader like you in the future.”
In response to another query by the Prime Minister, Ikramullah mentioned that, apart from his studies, he actively participates in sports and speech competitions.
On the occasion, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif presented a special gift to the student, stating that it would be useful for his studies and professional life.
It is worth noting that Ikramullah comes from a far-flung area of Balochistan and has been pursuing his education at Lawrence College under the Prime Minister’s scholarship program.
