Polio vaccination drive in Balochistan 2025 begins across 26 districts

Quetta – A large-scale polio vaccination campaign has started across 26 districts of Balochistan, including high-risk areas.

According to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC), the campaign aims to immunize more than 2.179 million children against the crippling disease. The vaccination drive begins today and will continue under strict monitoring.

A total of 8,933 vaccination teams are participating in the campaign. These include 652 fixed-site teams, 459 transit teams, and thousands of mobile workers tasked with reaching every household.

EOC officials confirmed that extensive security arrangements have been made to ensure the safety of polio teams during the drive. Law enforcement agencies are actively coordinating to provide protection in sensitive districts.

The districts covered in this campaign include Quetta, Pishin, Chaman, Barkhan, Dera Bugti, Hub, Jaffarabad, Jhal Magsi, Kalat, Khuzdar, Loralai, Mastung, Noshki, Naseerabad, Sherani, Sibi, Sohbatpur, Usta Muhammad, Zhob, Musakhel, Chagai, Duki, Lasbela, and Ziarat.

As Polio vaccination drive in Balochistan 2025 continues, Health officials stressed that eradicating polio remains a top priority for Pakistan. They urged parents to ensure their children receive the drops, emphasizing that vaccination is the only way to protect future generations from the disease.

The campaign reflects ongoing efforts to make Pakistan polio-free and strengthen child health in the region.
