Quetta: Member of the Balochistan Assembly, Rehmat Saleh Baloch, has submitted an adjournment motion protesting the suspension of mobile internet services across the province. According to the motion, the government completely shut down 4G and 5G services on August 6, 2025, with orders for the suspension to continue until August 31.
Baloch stated that the decision has paralyzed daily life in the province and constitutes a clear violation of basic human rights. The shutdown has disrupted all provincial operations, deprived students of online classes, and severely affected online businesses and public services.
He further noted that departments such as traffic police are unable to perform their duties, leaving the public in great distress. He called for an immediate halt to the Assembly’s routine proceedings to debate the issue and for the restoration of mobile internet services to alleviate the public’s suffering.
