QUETTA: Unidentified attackers targeted police vehicles in two separate incidents on Sibi Road and Sabzal Road in Quetta.
In the first incident near Kili Zarin under the jurisdiction of New Sariab Police Station, a hand grenade was thrown at a police vehicle. The explosion killed a passerby and injured another.
In the second attack, a hand grenade was thrown at a police vehicle near Balochistan University on Sabzal Road. The grenade failed to explode. Police temporarily closed the road to traffic and called in the bomb disposal squad to safely neutralize the device.
Authorities have launched an investigation to identify the attackers.
