FIA Balochistan Cracks Down on Human Trafficking Gangs, Five Arrested

QUETTA: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Balochistan Zone has intensified its crackdown on human traffickers, arresting five suspects belonging to two organized gangs during major operations in Taftan and Loralai.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the operations were carried out by the Anti-Human Trafficking Circles in Taftan and Quetta on the basis of intelligence reports. During the raids, four innocent citizens were also recovered from the custody of the traffickers.

The arrested suspects were identified as Rasool Bacha, Ameenullah, Hishmat Ali, Talib Hussain, and Ihsanullah. Officials said the first three were involved in smuggling people through illegal border routes from Pakistan into Iran and then onward to Turkey.

The spokesperson revealed that these individuals were on the “most wanted list” of Pakistani embassies in Iran and Turkey and had already trafficked numerous citizens abroad illegally. They were working as operatives of a handler named Faheem Gujar, based in Iran.

Meanwhile, suspects Talib Hussain and Ihsanullah were caught facilitating illegal border crossings. During the raid on their residence, four citizens were rescued from their captivity.

The FIA said the arrests mark a significant step against organized trafficking networks exploiting vulnerable people with false promises of jobs and safe passage abroad. The suspects are now under investigation, while further raids are being conducted to apprehend other accomplices.
