Provincial Minister, MPAs Meet DG NADRA Balochistan to Discuss Identity Document Issues

QUETTA: Provincial Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar, along with Balochistan Assembly members Syed Zafar Ali Agha, Rehmat Saleh Baloch, and others, held separate meetings with the Director General of NADRA Balochistan, Naveed Jan Sahibzada, to discuss matters related to identity documentation.

During the meetings, the lawmakers raised various concerns faced by citizens in obtaining and updating their national identity documents. They emphasized the need for smoother procedures to ensure that people, especially those living in remote and underdeveloped areas of the province, have easier access to NADRA’s services.

DG NADRA Naveed Jan Sahibzada underlined the importance of national identity documents, describing them as vital for civic, social, and economic inclusion. He appealed to local political leaders and influential figures to play their role in spreading awareness about timely registration and documentation among the people.

He further stated that NADRA is continuing multiple initiatives across Balochistan aimed at improving service delivery, expanding registration, and making processes more efficient. The DG added that steps are being taken to address the specific challenges of far-flung areas, where citizens often face difficulties due to lack of facilities and infrastructure.

The meetings highlighted the government’s intent to strengthen coordination between NADRA and provincial leadership to ensure every eligible citizen in Balochistan is properly registered and able to access essential national services.
