FIA Quetta human smuggling arrests were made after the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) foiled an attempt to illegally cross into Iran. The Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Quetta carried out the operation and detained six suspects, including four Bangladeshi nationals.
According to the FIA spokesperson, the operation was conducted on secret intelligence. The arrested agents were identified as Nadir, a well-known trafficker, and his accomplice Haider. They were found facilitating the movement of foreign nationals across the border.
The four Bangladeshi citizens were identified as Atiqur Rehman, Shomon, Khairul Hasan, and Ratan Ali. Investigators confirmed they had entered Pakistan illegally before attempting to reach Iran with the help of the arrested agents.
Officials said the suspects were apprehended while preparing to cross into Iran. They failed to provide valid travel documents or permits. Initial questioning revealed that the Bangladeshis had been promised safe passage in exchange for money.
The FIA highlighted that human smuggling operations not only endanger lives but also create serious security and legal challenges. Networks exploit vulnerable migrants and charge heavy amounts for unsafe travel routes.
A case has been registered against the agents and the foreign nationals. Further investigation is underway to trace the wider network behind the smuggling attempt. Authorities are also coordinating with immigration and border security departments to tighten surveillance in the region.
The FIA reiterated its commitment to cracking down on human traffickers. It warned that strict legal action would be taken against anyone involved in facilitating illegal migration.
This operation underscores FIA’s ongoing efforts to curb cross-border trafficking and protect Pakistan’s borders from unlawful movement.
