Balochistan: Four Bullet-Riddled Bodies Found in Basima, Washuk District

Police in Balochistan recovered four bullet-riddled bodies from Basima in Washuk district on Sunday. Officials said local residents informed the authorities about the presence of bodies in a deserted area.

Police teams reached the site and shifted the remains to the district hospital. Doctors confirmed that all four victims had multiple gunshot wounds. Authorities believe the men were killed by unidentified assailants before their bodies were dumped.

A senior police officer said the victims had no identification documents. Initial reports suggest they might have been residents of Surab, another district of Balochistan. Police have launched an investigation and are working to confirm the identities.

Law enforcement agencies cordoned off the site after the discovery. Officials collected forensic evidence and recorded witness statements. Authorities did not release further details about possible motives behind the killings.

The incident has spread fear among residents of Basima, a remote area of Washuk district located on the RCD Highway. Local communities have urged the government to strengthen security and prevent such violent acts.

Rights groups have repeatedly expressed concerns about targeted killings and rising violence in Balochistan. The province has long faced security challenges, including insurgency, tribal conflicts, and attacks by armed groups.

Police assured the public that the perpetrators would be traced and brought to justice. Hospital officials said the bodies would be kept until identification and handed over to families once confirmed.

The recovery of the four bodies highlights the worsening security situation in southern Balochistan. Investigations are ongoing.
