Quetta, August 25, 2025: Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, chaired a consultative meeting on the National Finance Commission (NFC) Award preparation.
Provincial Finance Minister, Mir Shoaib Nosherwani, briefed the meeting in detail. The Chief Minister emphasized that all political parties and experts would be consulted.
He added that even parties not represented in Parliament would participate. The goal is to present a unified and strong provincial stance.
CM Bugti said the NFC Award should highlight Balochistan’s needs and priorities. He stressed the importance of transparency and inclusion in resource distribution.
“The NFC Award is an opportunity for a strong and harmonious federation,” said the Chief Minister. He added that the expectations of Balochistan’s people must be included.
The consultation will also involve economists and intellectuals to provide input. CM Bugti noted that fair resource distribution will help the province progress and prosper.
He concluded, “Our success depends on a strong and stable federation. We will use the NFC Award to promote national unity and trust.”
