Quetta: Faiza Shakeel, Superintendent of Sardar Bahadur Khan Women University (SBKWU), held a press conference today. She revealed serious issues at the university.
In 2018, a conspiratorial group operated inside SBKWU, she said. This group blocked Vice Chancellor Sajida Noreen from performing her duties. Faiza Shakeel claimed finance officials were also involved.
She said her salary was withheld for six months at a time. “I faced repeated delays in my payments,” she said.
Faiza Shakeel criticized the current Vice Chancellor, Rubina. She said Rubina acts under pressure from certain organizations.
According to Shakeel, her office was locked without any investigation. The Vice Chancellor ordered two locks on her office. She added that the reasons for this action remain unclear.
Shakeel highlighted that teachers serving on contract for 12 years were dismissed. The Vice Chancellor replaces them with new contract hires for personal interests.
She accused a lobby of hiding facts from the government for self-benefit. “The government must ensure compliance with High Court orders,” she said.
Senior Warden Hamida Kakar also spoke. She said the Vice Chancellor allowed an unrelated person to stay in the female hostel. After her complaint, Kakar was transferred.
Faiza Shakeel demanded immediate action against these practices. She called for transparency, accountability, and protection of long-serving staff.
