Quetta: Mobile internet services were suspended once again across Balochistan, including the provincial capital Quetta, on Friday.
According to sources, the suspension comes just days after the government restored services in several districts following a directive from the Balochistan High Court last week.
Railway officials also confirmed that train operations from Quetta to other parts of the country will remain suspended today.
The disruption coincides with protests announced by a rights organization on the occasion of the “Day of Missing Persons,” with demonstrations expected in various districts of the province.
Civil society groups have criticized the repeated suspension of communication services, calling it a violation of fundamental rights, while government officials cite security concerns as the reason behind the move.
