Duki: An Afghan worker died in Duki after suffocating while hiding in a coal mine due to fear of arrest.
The incident occurred as authorities continued raids on Afghan laborers working in local coal mines. The worker sought refuge in a coal hall, but was overcome by toxic gases present inside and died on the spot.
Local laborers retrieved the body and transferred it to a nearby hospital, according to the mine administration. The administration confirmed the worker’s death was caused by suffocation from toxic gas.
