Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has commended Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for once again raising the issue of foreign-backed terrorism in Balochistan at the international stage.
In a post on social media platform X, CM Bugti said that the Prime Minister’s efforts to present Pakistan’s stance are commendable. He stressed that peace and development cannot be achieved in the world until double standards on terrorism are abandoned.
“Anti-peace elements in Balochistan have consistently received external support, and Pakistan has always highlighted this grave issue before the global community,” Bugti remarked.
He further added that the people of Balochistan desire peace and prosperity, but unfortunately, a few elements working on foreign agendas continue to create hurdles in the path of progress. CM Bugti called on the international community to take practical steps against terrorism instead of adopting dual standards, which he said would ensure sustainable peace in the region.
The Chief Minister also reaffirmed that the provincial government remains determined to maintain peace and stability, taking all necessary measures to protect the lives and property of the people.
