Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Pakistan has dismissed the Balochistan government’s appeal regarding the appointment of spokespersons and coordinators.
The Balochistan government had filed the appeal against a High Court decision which, on the petition of Advocate Abdul Sadiq Khalji, had declared the appointments unconstitutional.
The case was heard by a three-member bench headed by Justice Muhammad Hashim Kakad, with Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim Khan and Justice Ali Baqar Najafi as members.
During the hearing, Abdul Sadiq Khalji appeared in person and presented his arguments, while the Advocate General representing the Balochistan government also presented arguments in support of the appeal.
Despite the submissions, the Supreme Court upheld the High Court’s ruling and rejected the Balochistan government’s appeal.
