Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs has announced that more than 114,500 applications have been received under the government’s Hajj Scheme 2026 within just 13 days.
According to a ministry spokesperson, only 3,500 seats remain available out of the total quota allocated for the scheme. Applications will continue to be accepted through designated banks until the remaining seats are filled.
The ministry has urged all intending pilgrims to submit their applications as early as possible at their nearest designated bank branch to ensure inclusion before the quota is exhausted.
The spokesperson clarified that once the remaining 3,500 seats are filled, the process of receiving applications will be stopped immediately.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has already issued instructions to all designated banks to fully assist applicants and provide them with necessary support during the submission process.
This year, the government’s Hajj Scheme has received an overwhelming response from the public. Due to the high level of interest, a record number of applications have been submitted in a very short period of time.
