Foreign Embassies and Envoys Extend Congratulations on Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day

On the occasion of Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day, various foreign embassies and ambassadors extended greetings and warm wishes to the nation.

Iranian Embassy
The Iranian Embassy in Islamabad, in its message, said this is a day to pay tribute to the great nation’s highest values. It expressed pride in celebrating Pakistan’s unwavering resilience, unity, and remarkable achievements.
The message conveyed congratulations to Pakistan’s respected government and its esteemed, brotherly, friendly, and neighboring people, reaffirming the cherished ties of friendship, mutual respect, and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan.
It expressed prayers for Pakistan’s prosperity, security, development, and stability, hoping that the enduring friendship between the two brotherly nations would grow even deeper and stronger.

Russian Embassy
In its special congratulatory message, the Russian Embassy said Pakistan had made significant progress in various fields since independence, strengthening its position in the international community and contributing to space research.
It noted that despite challenges, Pakistan remains committed to the principles of Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal, as well as its national values and traditions.
The embassy stated that the people of Pakistan have every reason to be proud of their country, and Russia wishes its Pakistani friends success, prosperity, and well-being.

Japanese Ambassador
Japan’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Akamatsu Shoichi, in a video message, congratulated the people of Pakistan on Independence Day, stating that Japan stands alongside Pakistan for a strong and prosperous future.
The Japanese and Pakistani staff of the embassy jointly sang the national song “Jeevay Jeevay Pakistan” to mark the occasion.

Irish Ambassador
Ireland’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Mary O’Neill, recited verses of Allama Iqbal’s poetry to congratulate the Pakistani nation on Independence Day, extending greetings to friends both in Pakistan and abroad.
