A tragic road accident occurred in the Gomazi area on the outskirts of Panjgur district, Balochistan, when a Zambad vehicle, a passenger bus, and a motorcycle collided. The horrific crash left nine people dead and one person seriously injured.
Rescue teams rushed to the site immediately after the accident and shifted the bodies and the injured to Teaching Hospital Panjgur.
According to Masroor Ahmed, head of Medical Emergency Panjgur, two people traveling in the Zambad, six passengers in the bus, and one person on the motorcycle lost their lives.
Another motorcyclist was seriously injured and is receiving emergency medical treatment. The identification process of the deceased and the injured is still underway.
Police said that initial investigations suggest overspeeding as the main cause of the crash. Following the collision, both the bus and Zambad caught fire, which was brought under control after a strenuous effort by the fire brigade.
Rescue workers, with the help of dozens of local residents, cleared the wreckage and restored traffic flow on the road.
