Security forces kill 13 militants in Mastung operation under Operation Al-Azm

QUETTA: Security forces have continued intelligence-based operations (IBOs) against militant groups in Balochistan under Operation Al-Azm, killing 13 militants during a successful operation in the Khad Kocha area of Mastung district, according to security sources.

Security sources said the operation targeted militant hideouts following intelligence reports about the presence of armed militants in the area. During the operation, security personnel engaged the suspects, resulting in the deaths of 13 militants.

According to the sources, several militant hideouts were destroyed during the operation. Security forces also recovered a cache of weapons, explosives, and materials allegedly used for manufacturing improvised explosive devices (IEDs).

Security officials further claimed that multiple militants were injured during the operation, although no independent confirmation of the reported casualties was immediately available.

The operation forms part of the ongoing Operation Al-Azm, which security officials say aims to eliminate militant networks and restore peace in Balochistan through intelligence-driven actions.

Security sources stated that operations against militant groups would continue until terrorism is eradicated and law and order is fully restored across the province.

No official statement was immediately issued regarding casualties among security personnel.
