MASTUNG, Balochistan: At least three people were killed and three others injured in an explosion in the Khadkocha area of Mastung district on Thursday, police said.
According to police, the explosion occurred in an orchard near Gupt in the Khadkocha area. Three people were killed in the blast, while three others sustained injuries.
Following the incident, police and other law enforcement personnel reached the site and cordoned off the area to secure the scene and prevent further risks.
The bodies of those killed and the injured were being shifted to a hospital for medical treatment, police said.
A Bomb Disposal Squad was also called to the site to examine the scene and determine the nature and cause of the explosion.
Officials said further details about the incident would emerge after the completion of the initial investigation. Authorities are also conducting a search of the surrounding area as part of the investigation.
The identities of those killed and injured have not yet been officially released.
