QUETTA: Muhammad Abdul Karim Saqib, founder of the Alhijra Schools Trust, has been conferred the Sitara-e-Imtiaz by the Government of Pakistan in recognition of his contributions to education.
The award acknowledges Abdul Karim Saqib’s 21 years of work in providing free, quality education to children in remote and underprivileged areas of Balochistan.
Karim Saqib established the Alhijra Schools Trust to offer educational opportunities to students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds. Under the trust, the Alhijra Residential School & College in Ziarat provides free, residential education and also focuses on character development and Islamic values.
The Sitara-e-Imtiaz is awarded to individuals who have made notable contributions in their respective fields. Saqib’s efforts in promoting education in Balochistan have been recognized through this honor.
Abdul Kaim Saqib will receive his award on March 2026.
