Quetta: Provincial Health Minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar provided an update on the Sariab Road blast in Quetta, confirming the human toll and ongoing medical response.
He stated, “Fifteen people have lost their lives and 38 others were injured in this tragic blast. Eight of the injured are receiving treatment at Civil Hospital Quetta.”
Praising the doctors and hospital staff, Kakar added, “Thanks to timely medical care, several lives were saved. Our medical teams acted swiftly under challenging circumstances.”
He also noted emergency measures in place, saying, “If necessary, critically injured patients will be transferred to Karachi for advanced treatment. Investigations into the suicide attack have already started.”
Kakar emphasized the importance of public cooperation and warned against interfering with ongoing rescue and medical operations, stating, “Heightened security and collaboration from citizens helped prevent a larger tragedy.”
