Quetta, September 3, 2025: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti chaired a high-level meeting on law and order in the provincial capital following the tragic Shahwani Stadium blast. During the meeting, the Additional Chief Secretary for Home and the Inspector General of Police briefed participants and presented detailed findings related to the incident.
The Chief Minister directed that peace restoration measures be made more effective and instructed the Additional Chief Secretary to keep the public and media informed about government actions and facts regarding the incident.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti emphasized that political parties and the public must cooperate with security institutions, stating that unity in the face of current threat alerts is the need of the hour. He vowed that those responsible for the Shahwani Stadium blast would be brought to justice.
He assured the families of the martyrs that the government stands firmly with them and will not leave them alone in their time of grief. The Chief Minister also ordered that the best medical treatment and facilities be ensured for the injured, with serious cases to be shifted to Karachi via air ambulance.
Bugti categorically declared that terrorists would not be allowed to sabotage peace in Balochistan under any circumstances. He further instructed authorities to devise a foolproof security plan for 12th Rabi-ul-Awal programs and urged citizens to fully cooperate with the government and law enforcement agencies during processions and public gatherings.
