Armed men looted 7.5 kilograms of gold from two jewelers traveling near Muslim Bagh on Sunday, Levies sources confirmed.According to officials, the victims, residents of Multan, were carrying the gold in a bag while traveling on a passenger bus bound for Quetta.
When the bus reached the outskirts of Muslim Bagh, three vehicles carrying armed men intercepted it.The assailants forced the passengers off the bus, singled out the jewelers, and transferred them into one of their vehicles.
The attackers then snatched the bag containing 7.5 kilograms of gold before fleeing the scene.Levies officials estimated the looted gold’s value at Rs 248.1 million.
A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against unidentified suspects, and security forces have launched an investigation into the incident.
