Balochistan Health Minister Bakhat Kakar visited Civil Hospital Quetta on Monday to inquire about those injured in the powerful blast near the Frontier Corps (FC) Headquarters.
Speaking to the media at the hospital, the minister confirmed that 10 people were killed and more than 30 others injured in the attack, with at least six victims in critical condition.
He said all injured were receiving medical treatment at Civil Hospital.Kakar further revealed that security forces killed six terrorists following the incident, thwarting what he described as a “major terrorist plan.” He strongly condemned the attack, saying it caused significant civilian casualties. “We strongly denounce this cowardly act near the FC Headquarters. Many civilians were among those injured.
The terrorists had plotted a major attack, but security forces responded decisively,” the health minister said.The minister assured that the provincial health department was making every possible effort to provide the best treatment facilities to the injured and expressed solidarity with the families of the victims.
