A massive fire has erupted in the Spin Ghar mountain forest of Qila Saifullah district, officials confirmed on Friday.
According to the district administration, the blaze was first reported around 5 p.m., initially affecting dry grass and bushes before rapidly spreading across a larger area.
The fire has now reached Shanghar, threatening to move toward Zhob district’s boundary.Levis personnel and teams from the Forest Department are actively engaged in firefighting operations. Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Qila Saifullah has sought assistance from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to contain the flames.
In response, PDMA has dispatched two rescue teams equipped with 12 personnel, two ambulances, and specialized firefighting equipment to the affected site.
The teams are carrying 100 fireballs, fire beaters, masks, and other tools to control the blaze.Authorities said the rescue teams are working to extinguish the fire and protect nearby settlements as operations continue late into the night.
