In another alarming incident targeting road construction workers in Balochistan, 13 labourers were abducted when unidentified armed men attacked a construction site in the Naal area of Khuzdar district on Friday.
According to Levies officials, the assailants opened fire at the site and later set construction machinery and vehicles on fire before fleeing the scene with the abducted workers.
Authorities said the kidnapped labourers belonged to Sindh province and were engaged in a road construction project between Khuzdar and Washuk. Following the incident, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to locate the culprits and recover the missing workers.
This marks the second abduction of labourers within a week in Balochistan. Earlier, nine labourers were kidnapped from Mastung district by armed men who took them to an undisclosed location.
Security officials say an investigation is underway, while local authorities have intensified patrols in remote construction zones to prevent further such incidents.
