Roads Blocked and Internet Service Suspended in Quetta Ahead of PTI Rally

Security has been tightened across Quetta ahead of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aeen Pakistan rally scheduled to take place today at the Railway Hockey Ground. The district administration has blocked several main roads and entry points by placing trucks and containers, causing significant inconvenience to the public, particularly students traveling to schools and colleges.

In several areas of the city, mobile internet services have also been suspended, while heavy police contingents and law enforcement personnel have been deployed in multiple locations.

According to the district administration, PTI’s request for permission to hold the rally was rejected due to security concerns. The administration added that Section 144 is already imposed across the province for one month, and no public gatherings or rallies can be allowed under the current circumstances.

Despite the restrictions, PTI leadership has announced that the rally will take place as planned at the Railway Hockey Ground, and supporters from different parts of the province have already started reaching Quetta.

The situation has led to traffic disruption and difficulty in movement for residents, creating a tense atmosphere throughout the city.
