Talks between Balochistan Football Association and Sports Department conclude successfully

Quetta: Negotiations between the Balochistan Football Association (BFA) and the Balochistan Sports Department have concluded successfully, resulting in the approval of the association’s Charter of Demands and ending a prolonged deadlock over football-related matters in the province.

According to officials, the talks addressed long-standing issues concerning the organization of football events, provision of improved facilities for players, and administrative demands presented by the Balochistan Football Association. Differences between the two sides had persisted for some time, leading to uncertainty regarding football activities and development initiatives across Balochistan.

The breakthrough came on Monday, when representatives of the Balochistan Football Association and the Sports Department reached a consensus during negotiations held in the presence of Secretary Sports Balochistan, Dara Baloch. The discussions were facilitated through the mediation of the Sports Action Committee and the Dibba Sports Action Committee, which played a key role in bridging gaps between the two parties.

Sources said the Charter of Demands submitted by the BFA was formally approved, clearing the way for the resumption and expansion of football activities in the province. The agreement is expected to improve coordination between the association and the provincial sports authorities and ensure smoother planning and execution of football tournaments and training programs.

Officials involved in the negotiations stated that the settlement would help address concerns related to infrastructure, player welfare, and regular conduct of football events, which are seen as essential for the growth of the sport at the grassroots and professional levels in Balochistan.

The Balochistan Football Association welcomed the resolution, expressing hope that the agreement would lead to greater institutional support for football and create better opportunities for young players across the province. The Sports Department, meanwhile, reiterated its commitment to promoting sports and supporting federations through dialogue and cooperation.

With the deadlock now resolved, stakeholders expect football activities in Balochistan to proceed without further disruption, contributing to youth engagement and the overall development of sports in the province.
