Khuzdar: Three people were burned to death and one sustained injuries when an oil tanker collided with a trailer on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway near Zehri Cross, Levies officials confirmed Tuesday.
The collision triggered a massive fire that engulfed both vehicles. Rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. Authorities said efforts were made to control the blaze and clear the road for traffic.
The Quetta-Karachi Highway is one of Pakistan’s busiest trade and passenger routes. Accidents on this road are frequent due to heavy traffic, poor road conditions, and overloaded vehicles.
Officials said the bodies were badly charred, making identification difficult. The incident once again highlights the dangers of transporting oil and fuel along narrow highways without adequate safety measures.
