“September 2 Wrote a New Chapter of Oppression”, PTI Provincial Chief

Quetta: The provincial chief of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) described the September 2 incident in Quetta as a new chapter of oppression. He said the tragedy marked one of the darkest days in the province’s history.

Daud Shah Kakr, a political leader, also condemned the attack. He highlighted that Pakistan has been witnessing violence since its creation. “Since the country was formed, we have been lifting bodies,” Kakr said, recalling decades of unrest.

He compared the September 2 attack to previous political tragedies. “On May 9, a similar drama was staged,” Kakr noted. He argued that the state repeatedly fails to protect citizens and allow peaceful political activity.

Kakr criticized the government under Form 47. “With this government in place, what recourse do we have?” he questioned. He stressed that such attacks reveal the negligence of those in power and the failure of the political system.

He went further, demanding accountability from top officials. “After the September 2 incident, the cabinet, including Sarfraz Bugti, should resign,” Kakr said. He argued that leadership must take responsibility for security failures and for failing to prevent such tragedies.

The PTI provincial chief and Kakr both condemned the attack as a direct blow to democracy and human rights in Balochistan. They emphasized the need for justice for the victims and stronger measures to ensure civilian safety.

They concluded by urging political unity and immediate action to prevent further bloodshed. Both leaders warned that ignoring such incidents risks deepening public anger and instability in the province.
