On Tuesday night, armed men attacked police and Levies stations in Sherani tehsil of Zhob district, Balochistan.
According to Deputy Commissioner Sherani, Hazrat Wali Kakar, the terrorists launched a heavy weapons assault on the police and Levies stations late at night, leading to hours of intense exchange of fire between security personnel and militants.As a result of the attack, one police constable embraced martyrdom while two Levies personnel sustained injuries.
Wali Kakar confirmed that the terrorists damaged the two stations with heavy weaponry, destroyed their communication systems, and set the buildings on fire. During the clearance operation, it was discovered that one Levies official was missing.
Teams led by the Assistant Commissioner have been formed to carry out a search operation in the area.The administration has appealed to local residents to extend full cooperation with the security forces during the operation.
The body of the martyred police constable has been sent to his native area in Kan Mehtarzai, while the two injured personnel have been shifted to Quetta for medical treatment.
