New York: Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, has arrived in New York to participate in the high-level segment of the 80th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 80), scheduled from 22–26 September 2025.
The Pakistani delegation to UNGA 80 will be led by the Prime Minister. On his arrival, Senator Dar was welcomed by Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, Ambassador Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, and senior officials of the Mission.
Packed Agenda in New York
During his stay, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister will accompany the Prime Minister to key UNGA 80 engagements. In addition, Ishaq Dar will represent Pakistan in several ministerial and high-level meetings and is scheduled to hold more than a dozen bilateral meetings with his counterparts from other countries.
UN General Assembly session will bring together world leaders to deliberate on pressing global issues, including peace and security, sustainable development, climate change, and reforms of the multilateral system.
