A Levies officer was martyred in an armed clash with bandits during a major operation in the Kattan area of Bagh, district Kachhi.
The operation was launched under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Kachhi, Captain (R) Jumma Dad Khan Mandokhail, as part of the ongoing crackdown on the notorious Shafu Gang
According to Levies sources, the exchange of fire broke out when Levies forces cordoned off the houses of the gang’s associates.
During the encounter, Levies officer Mohsin Awan sustained fatal injuries and embraced martyrdom. Two bandits were also reported injured in the gun battle.In the course of the operation, more than 15 hideouts of the gang, including those belonging to ringleader Mir Hasan Hala and his accomplices, were set ablaze.
The Government of Balochistan paid tribute to the sacrifice of Levies officer Mohsin Ali Awan. The Home Department stated that the crackdown against criminal gangs in Kachhi is being conducted on the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan.“The operations against outlaws and criminal gangs will continue without discrimination until they are eliminated,” a spokesperson of the Home Department said.
“The government is determined to protect the lives and property of citizens, and highway robber groups will be dismantled at all costs.”The Home Department further reiterated that actions against dacoits and bandits in Bolan and surrounding areas would be taken to their logical conclusion.
