In a significant step for the education sector of Balochistan, Secretary Education Asfandyar Khan inaugurated a Health Care Skills Center at Government Girls High School Khanozai, Pishin. The initiative has been established with the support of the European Union to provide students with modern, hands-on training opportunities.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, the Secretary emphasized that the province’s education reforms are not limited to academic knowledge alone but aim to prepare students with the practical skills required for real-life challenges. He noted that these skills centers will train students in health, IT, and other technical fields, ultimately enhancing their employment prospects.

During the visit, Secretary Khan also inspected the IT Skills Center at the same school and interacted with students undergoing training. He asked them questions about their learning process and advised them to focus equally on academic education and skill development.

The Secretary further revealed that similar centers are being established across different districts of the province. For effective implementation, a dedicated task force has been formed to oversee and monitor these projects. “This is a unique opportunity for our students to go beyond textbooks and prepare themselves according to the demands of practical life,” he remarked.
Divisional and district officers accompanied him during the field visit, while teachers and students welcomed the initiative as a milestone in improving both the quality and scope of education in the province.
