A meeting was held between chief minister Balochistan Mir Sarfaraz Bugti and the central leader of Pakistan People’s party Qamar Zaman Kahira on Friday.The meeting focused on matters of mutual interest, the province’s overall political and development situation, and ongoing welfare and governance reforms. Both leaders discussed ways to strengthen cooperation between coalition partners to accelerate public service delivery and inclusive growth in Balochistan.
Chief Minister Bugti said that the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program is the largest educational initiative in the province’s history, extending scholarships from primary to higher education. “We have opened the doors of the world’s top 200 universities for Balochistan’s students,” he added, noting that special scholarships have also been launched for civilian martyrs, minorities, and transgender persons.
He further said that his government is actively engaging in dialogue with youth to identify and address their challenges through practical, long-term measures. “The interest-free loan program is a revolutionary step and will soon be implemented,” he stated.
He also highlighted the Chief Minister Youth Skills Development and Dignified Employment Program, describing it as a major initiative to ensure a bright and self-reliant future for the province’s youth.
PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira reaffirmed his party’s commitment to the province’s progress and praised the Chief Minister’s development vision. “The Pakistan Peoples Party will continue to play its full role in Balochistan’s development. We believe in national harmony and public service.
PPP has always been the symbol of federation and unity,” he said.Kaira assured the party’s full support for the Chief Minister’s reform and welfare agenda aimed at building a more prosperous and inclusive Balochistan.
