A powerful explosion rocked Turbat city on Friday, targeting the vehicle of Deputy Commissioner Kech, Bashir Ahmed Badiech, police officials confirmed.
According to police sources, the blast occurred near the DC’s convoy, injuring eight people, including five Levies personnel.
The wounded were shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.Preliminary investigations suggest that the explosion was carried out using a remote-controlled device.
The Deputy Commissioner remained unhurt as his vehicle was bulletproof, police said.Following the blast, security forces cordoned off the area and launched an investigation to trace the perpetrators.
Officials are yet to determine the group or individuals responsible for the attack.
