Seventeen new green and pink buses imported from China have arrived in Quetta, the Balochistan Transport Department confirmed on Monday. The department said the government spent Rs 810 million on the purchase of the modern buses.
Officials stated that the fleet includes four pink buses, which will operate exclusively for women in Quetta city. The remaining buses will join the public transport system on several major routes across the provincial capital.
According to the Transport Department, the new vehicles aim to improve urban mobility and ease daily commuting challenges. The buses are expected to become operational soon after final inspections and route assignments. Authorities say the initiative will enhance accessibility, reduce congestion, and upgrade overall transport services in Quetta.
