Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail Halted at Jacobabad Due to Security Concerns

Quetta: Pakistan Railways has suspended the operation of Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail trains at Jacobabad due to security concerns, railway officials confirmed on Monday.

According to railway authorities, the Jaffar Express was traveling from Peshawar to Quetta, while the Bolan Mail was en route from Karachi to Quetta when the decision was taken to stop both trains at Jacobabad. Officials said the move was taken as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers.

Railway officials stated that the decision to halt the trains was made in view of the prevailing security situation. Passenger safety remains the top priority, and the situation is being closely monitored.

Authorities added that train services will be restored once conditions return to normal. Railway administration is in continuous coordination with security agencies to assess the situation and take further action accordingly.

Meanwhile, officials also announced that the Chaman Express, which operates between Quetta and Chaman, will remain canceled on Tuesday. Passengers have been advised to stay updated through official railway channels before planning their journeys.

Pakistan Railways has urged travelers to cooperate and follow safety advisories. Further updates will be issued as the situation develops.
