Balochistan Ministers Reject Claims of Zareena Mari’s Disappearance, Accuse Propaganda

Quetta: Balochistan’s women ministers in Quetta refute Hamid Mir’s tweet, stating that no teacher named Zarina Marri ever worked at the Kahan government middle school. “We have checked the payroll records since 2004 and found no profile matching Zarina Marri,” said Meena Majeed, Advisor to CM Balochistan.

Balochistan’s Provincial Sports Minister Meena Majeed and Education Minister Raheela Hamid Darani held a press conference in Quetta to address recent claims regarding the alleged enforced disappearance of Zareena Mari.

Speaking at the event, Meena Majeed stated that “no teacher named Zareena Mari has ever been employed in the Kohlu District education department. We have checked all records, and there is no profile matching her name.” She added that the alleged disappearance from Kohlu has not been confirmed, and no evidence has been presented by her family.

Majeed also accused political figures and media personalities of spreading anti-Pakistan propaganda. “Munir Mengal is allegedly sitting abroad and, along with a senior journalist in Pakistan, promoting false narratives against the country,” she said. She further urged the journalist to either apologize publicly or provide verifiable records supporting the claims.

Education Minister Raheela Hamid Darani echoed the concerns, saying, “We are in a state of vigilance. Negative propaganda is being circulated, and there is no record of Zareena Mari in the education department.”

Both ministers emphasized that all claims must be substantiated with proper documentation before being circulated in the media, and they dismissed allegations of her enforced disappearance as unverified.
