QUETTA: The FIA Balochistan passport crackdown continues as authorities arrested a suspect involved in illegal passport operations.
Abdul Malik was caught near the Passport Office in Chaman. He allegedly collected extra money from citizens by promising faster passport issuance. Meanwhile, FIA officers conducted a thorough search.
During the operation, officials recovered 13 Pakistani passports, 51 tokens, 48 data forms, 9 verification forms, and a mobile phone. Abdul Malik failed to explain why he had these documents.
The FIA immediately took him into custody and started an investigation. Additionally, the agency urged citizens to report any suspicious activities at local FIA offices.
This operation is part of a nationwide effort to stop passport mafias. Therefore, authorities are targeting illegal activities to ensure official documents are issued lawfully.
The suspect reportedly promised quick passport processing to collect extra money. Investigators stressed that such practices are illegal and punishable under Pakistani law. As a result, the FIA will continue raids across Balochistan.
