Iran Air’s inaugural flight departs from Quetta to Zahedan

Quetta’s first Iran Air passenger flight took off late last night, marking the launch of direct air travel between the two cities.

According to the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority, a special ceremony was held at Quetta Airport to mark the occasion, attended by the Iranian Consul General, the airport manager, senior security officials from ASF, and representatives of the local chamber of commerce.

The Iran Air flight (IR-824), carrying 75 passengers, departed for Zahedan at 11:30 pm. Earlier, at 9:15 pm, the airline’s first inbound flight had arrived from Zahedan to Quetta.

The new service is expected to boost connectivity and trade between Balochistan and Iran.
