Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, while addressing the provincial assembly session on Friday, expressed grave concern over the growing misuse of social media, warning that the issue is spiraling out of control.
He said that people write whatever they wish on social platforms, often targeting respectable individuals and spreading unverified content, which he strongly condemned. “We must come together in the legislative assembly to devise laws to address this menace,” Bugti emphasized.
The Chief Minister announced that strict action will be taken against those responsible for disseminating unverified information, adding that such content creates unnecessary chaos and damages the social fabric.
Referring to local issues, Bugti said that all tribes in Ziarat had been taken into confidence regarding the transfer of forest department land. He further assured that all stakeholders would be consulted on matters related to the NFC Award.
