The Balochistan Food Authority (BFA) has intensified its special anti-adulteration campaign across Quetta and adjoining areas, conducting large-scale inspections of milk shops, suppliers, and carrier vehicles.
During the operation on Bileli, Samli, Karani Road, Brewery, and Jan Muhammad Road, officials seized 1,330 liters of adulterated milk and 350 kilograms of substandard yogurt, which were destroyed on the spot.
According to the BFA, inspection teams visited 23 shops and facilities and examined 31 milk carrier vehicles. In total, more than 7,320 liters of milk and hundreds of kilograms of yogurt were tested on mobile laboratories.
Eight milk sellers and one supplier were heavily fined for violating food safety laws.Secretary Food, Manzar Javed Ali, emphasized that ensuring the supply of pure and quality milk to the public is the government’s top priority.
