The Chief Minister of Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, has expressed satisfaction over two successful intelligence-based operations carried out against India-backed militants in the Chiltan mountain range and the Bolida area of Kech district.
He lauded the security forces for their bravery, commitment, and professional excellence, stating that the operations are a strong demonstration of the “Azm-e-Istehkam” vision aimed at eliminating terrorism from the province.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the first operation was conducted in the Chiltan mountain range near Quetta based on confirmed intelligence regarding the presence of militants affiliated with the Indian proxy organization, “Fitna Al-Hindustan.” During the operation, the security forces targeted a key militant hideout, resulting in an intense exchange of fire. Fourteen militants were killed in the encounter.
The second operation took place in the Bolida area of district Kech, where security forces traced another militant hideout. Four militants were killed during the engagement.
ISPR reported that the slain militants were involved in various acts of sabotage and terrorism in the region. A significant cache of weapons, ammunition, and explosive materials was also recovered during the operations.
Chief Minister Bugti, in his statement, reaffirmed that the ambitions of anti-state elements will never succeed in Balochistan. “Eliminating Indian-sponsored terror networks and restoring peace remain the top priorities of the state,” he said.
He added that the Balochistan government and security forces are firmly committed to safeguarding the nation with determination and resolve under the spirit of Azm-e-Istehkam.
The ISPR further stated that clearance and sanitization operations are continuing in both areas to ensure that no fugitive militants escape. It reiterated that security forces and law enforcement agencies, under the National Action Plan, will continue operations across the country until the complete eradication of foreign-supported terrorism. The operations mark yet another significant step in the ongoing effort to restore long-term peace and stability in Balochistan.
