Repolling underway at 7 polling stations in PB-36 Kalat constituency

Quetta: Voting is underway for repolling at seven polling stations in the PB-36 Kalat constituency of Balochistan, according to election officials. The repolling process began early in the morning and will continue without any break until 5:00 pm.

The Election Commission has made arrangements to ensure a smooth and transparent voting process. Officials stated that a total of 8,838 registered voters are expected to cast their ballots during the repolling exercise. Among them, 5,517 are male voters while 3,321 are female voters.

To facilitate voters, the Election Commission has established seven polling stations in the constituency. These include one male polling station, one female polling station, and five combined polling stations where both men and women can vote.

In addition, 24 polling booths have been set up inside these stations to manage voter turnout efficiently. Out of these, 17 booths are designated for male voters and seven booths for female voters, ensuring organized and smooth voting operations.

The repolling is witnessing a competitive race as 36 candidates are contesting in the constituency. Election officials said that polling staff and security personnel have been deployed to maintain order and ensure that voters can exercise their democratic right in a safe environment.

The Provincial Election Commissioner Balochistan, Ali Asghar Sial, has directed all polling staff and relevant authorities to ensure transparent, peaceful, and fair repolling in the constituency. Strict monitoring arrangements have also been implemented to prevent any irregularities during the voting process.

Election authorities have encouraged voters to participate actively in the democratic process and cast their votes before the polling time ends at 5:00 pm. Officials emphasized that the repolling process is being conducted under established election rules and procedures to ensure credibility and transparency.

The results of the repolling will play a key role in determining the final outcome of the PB-36 Kalat provincial assembly seat.
