Jaffarabad police have arrested two alleged fugitives who were wanted in a robbery case, police said on Thursday.
The arrested suspects were identified as Abdullah, son of Ghulam Sarwar, and Liaquat, son of Balach, both members of the Rind tribe and residents of Goth Shahak Khan Rind.
According to police, both suspects had been absconding for a considerable period and were wanted in connection with a registered robbery case.
Police said they launched an operation after receiving confidential information about the whereabouts of the suspects. The two men were subsequently arrested during the action.
Further investigation is underway, with police questioning the suspects regarding the robbery case and other related matters.
Police officials said action against fugitives and individuals involved in criminal activities would continue without discrimination. They added that efforts were being made to apprehend other suspects wanted in criminal cases.
The arrests are part of ongoing police efforts to improve law and order and bring wanted suspects to justice in Jaffarabad district.
