Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfraz Bugti, while addressing a public gathering in Qila Saifullah, said that terrorism whether in the name of religion or ethnicity has nothing to do with people’s rights or development.
He said the people of Balochistan stand as a united front against terrorists and will never surrender.“Those who raise arms in the name of religion are enemies of Islam, which preaches peace and brotherhood,” Bugti said, adding that those carrying weapons in the name of nationalism or rights are pursuing an anti-state agenda.
The chief minister condemned the killing of innocent passengers and civilians, calling it an unforgivable crime.
He strongly denounced the recent suicide attack on a political gathering in Quetta, reiterating that the entire province stands united against terrorism.He further said that while peaceful protest is a constitutional right, blocking roads and creating public suffering is against the law and constitution.
Bugti declared that the natural resources of Balochistan belong first to its people, and no one will be allowed to usurp their rights. “Any attempt to occupy the resources of Balochistan will not be tolerated. I will stand as a protector of the people’s rights,” he emphasized.He announced that the Kan Mehterzai Dam would be constructed to prevent water wastage, while Muslim Bagh would be granted the status of a district.Highlighting the importance of tribal harmony, Bugti said, “The bond of respect and brotherhood among tribes is unbreakable; no force can destroy it.”On this occasion, the Chief Minister also announced multiple development projects for the progress of Qila Saifullah.
