Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that the state has never adopted a policy of indiscriminate use of force in Balochistan, adding that portraying limited and targeted actions as “state operations” is contrary to facts.
He expressed these views while addressing participants of the 18th Balochistan National Workshop in Quetta.The Chief Minister emphasized that youth are the real asset of the nation and the bright future of Pakistan, and it is the need of the hour to familiarize them with correct historical facts and a truthful national narrative. He said that there is a clear gap between the perceptions spread about Balochistan and the ground realities, which must be understood in their proper context.
Mir Sarfraz Bugti stated that organized false narratives have been deliberately spread through social media to create mistrust and distance between the youth and the state. However, he asserted that attempts to weaken the state through violence, chaos, and unrest will never succeed.
He warned that young people are often misled through psychological manipulation and organized recruitment tactics, and urged them to remain vigilant against such efforts.The Chief Minister reiterated that Pakistan is a strong and resilient state that will always endure. “The state never gets tired,” he said, adding that those dreaming of dividing Pakistan “like a cake” will always face failure.
He urged the youth not to blindly follow negative narratives without research, but instead adopt a positive, fact-based, and constructive approach.Mir Sarfraz Bugti assured the participants that he is fully prepared to answer even the toughest questions from young people through dialogue, logic, and evidence. He said he remains available at every educational institution, university, and national forum to engage in open discussions with the youth.Highlighting governance reforms, the Chief Minister said that an effective model of governance is being introduced in Balochistan, stressing that poor governance strengthens anti-state sentiments, while good governance ensures stability and trust in the state.
He informed the participants that more than 3,200 previously closed schools have been made functional across the province, and that in many underdeveloped areas, basic healthcare facilities have been provided for the first time since the creation of Pakistan.He further stated that the Benazir Bhutto Scholarship Program is the largest educational scholarship initiative in the history of Balochistan. Under this program, scholarships are being awarded not only to deserving students but also to the children of civilian martyrs, minorities, and transgender individuals.The Chief Minister said that students from Balochistan now have opportunities to pursue education in scientific disciplines at the world’s leading universities.
He added that doors have been opened for PhD opportunities in more than 200 international universities, enabling talented students from the province to compete globally.Concluding his address, Mir Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the development and prosperity of Balochistan. He vowed to continue working for the betterment of the province until his last day, last hour, and last moment, emphasizing that progress, stability, and opportunities for the youth remain his top priorities.
