Islamabad: Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan has said that providing reliable transport infrastructure and a modern road network in Balochistan is the fundamental right of its people. He announced that the Karachi–Quetta–Chaman highway (N-25) will be completed within the next two years, adding that its construction will meet international standards.
The minister made these remarks during a meeting with former Chairman Senate and Member Provincial Assembly from Balochistan, Sadiq Sanjrani, who called on him today. Abdul Aleem Khan stated that the National Highway Authority (NHA) has been directed to immediately begin work on the Dalbandin–Chaghi Road. He reaffirmed that the development of Balochistan remains a top priority, with plans to expand the road network across the province.
He further said that NHA is working on a special road development package for Balochistan. Given its vast geography, the minister noted, a quality road network in the province is vital for enhancing regional trade and tourism, particularly with Afghanistan, Iran, and other neighboring states.
During the meeting, Sadiq Sanjrani thanked the federal minister and said that the NHA’s special initiatives would be a valuable step for the people of Balochistan. He added that improved connectivity would ease public hardships and deliver meaningful relief to local communities.
